Weird Teeth Whitening Trick

I always get compliments on my teeth. Always! Granted I did wear braces from middle through high school, but a lot of people I know don't take good care of their teeth in general. I've never really been into the whole teeth whitening thing, but I started a new regimen that has helped my teeth become stronger, healthier and even whiter!
Every morning I wake up wash my face, shower, swig a capful of Sesame oil and brush my teeth. Yes, you read correctly I swig Sesame oil. Now before you start fussing, just hear me out! Over the last few months I've been researching a technique known as Oil Pulling, which is and Ayurvedic remedy that is linked to improvements in oral health.

The phrase Oil Pulling was popularized in the early 1990s by Tummala Koteswara Rao, but was brought over to the Western world after many celebrities claimed to practice this "hippie" method. It is originally a traditional Ayurveda that included gargling treatments like kavala graham and gandusha which were used to treat specific ailments or imbalances of doshas.
Not only is the method linked to oral hygiene, but you will notice a difference in other activities. You'll sleep better, have less acne, reduce headaches/migraines and asthma issues, as well as whiter teeth!

So how do you do it?

You basically take a tablespoon or capful of Coconut oil, I personally use Sesame oil because of allergies. (Sesame oil is also one of many medicinal fluids recommended to reduce dryness of the mouth, inflammations, or burning sensations in the mouth.) Swig in your mouth for about 20 minutes, spit, then brush your teeth like normal! Now, you won't see immediate results because like anything: progress is a process.

I've been doing the Oil Pulling method is July and I've seen a complete difference. From my face being clearer to my teeth being whiter. I dare you to take a swig once a day for the next 10 days and see just what happens!
